- May 26, 2025
The 5-axis CNC wood machining center is a large-scale CNC equipment designed for machining columnar wood materials. The machine features multiple processing stations, each equipped with an indexable rotary lathe center to secure and rotate the wood workpiece. Above the machine, a cylindrical tool-switching mechanism is installed, capable of three-dimensional linear movement and rotation. This tool-switching mechanism is alternately mounted with multiple double-ended spindles (each end can hold a different tool), with every two double-ended spindles assigned to one workstation, so providing four available tools per station. In addition to 90-degree tool rotation for switching, the mechanism also has indexing rotation capability, allowing tools to tilt at specific angles for machining. This enables oblique drilling or milling along the workpiece clamping direction.
This 5-axis CNC wood machining center can manufacture various wooden components such as table and chair legs, stair balusters, chair armrests, and sofa armrests. Its multi-station design significantly enhances machining efficiency, while automatic tool switching ensures full automation in multi-step operations, and the tool tilting function allows for angled machining, making this equipment the ultimate solution for wood milling and machining.
