What Is a Four-Axis CNC Router?

It is used to fix long strip workpieces with circular or square cross-sections or special-shaped workpieces that are pasted together. One end is driven by a drive motor to drive a reducer or gear to indexing rotate, and then the engraving head engraves the workpiece. This structure is suitable for processing the convoluted surface of columnar products such as table and chair legs, figures, and sculptures. Another type is improved from the common three-axis CNC router. On the basis of the up and down movement of the main axis (Z axis), a device that can perform 180-degree circular indexing rotation is added. How The Four-Axis CNC Router Works?

The working principle of the four-axis CNC router is to add a rotating axis to the three-axis CNC router, so that the tool or workpiece can rotate around the rotating axis, ensuring that the tool can contact the processing surface at a certain angle, thereby realizing complex processing operations on three-dimensional, curved and vertical surfaces. This type of machine usually has three linear motion axes, X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis, and a rotating axis (A-axis or C-axis). The X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis are orthogonal, and the tool moves in the Z-axis direction, so that it can process the surface of the workpiece parallel to the X-axis and Y-axis, while the rotating axis controls the spindle or workpiece to rotate at a certain degree. What Function Kits Can be Added to a Four-Axis CNC Router?

Automatic tool change function

The machine is equipped with an ordinary engraving spindle that requires manual clamping of the tool. When working, the cylinder pushes the ejector pin to hit the center drawbar, causing the chuck to extend outward and the tool holder to fall off.
