1530 5-Axis CNC Wood Lathe

CK-1530-LSP-5AXIS is a 5-axis CNC wood lathe from the Spire Series. Inheriting the outstanding design and engineering of the Spire Series, this machine features a heavy-duty cast-iron bed with a dual-row structure. With a total machine weight of up to 2,500 kg and a maximum wall thickness of 30 mm, it delivers exceptional rigidity and stability while effectively minimizing vibration during machining.

In terms of machining capabilities, the CK-1530-LSP-5AXIS supports a wide range of operations, including turning, planing, milling, drilling, carving, and sanding. For turning operations, the machine is equipped with two pneumatically switchable turning tools, allowing rapid tool changes according to different machining requirements.

The machine also features a specialized machining head equipped with four spindle tools. The machining head can rotate to different angles, enabling automatic tool selection as well as multi-angle machining of the workpiece. In addition, the machine supports five-axis RTCP (Rotation Tool Center Point) functionality, enabling machining operations that are difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional three- or four-axis wood lathes. These include complex contour machining, as well as drilling and carving on curved or inclined surfaces, significantly expanding the range of products and machining processes the machine can handle.

The machine also comes standard with a sanding tool and an automatic loading and unloading system. This high level of automation helps improve production continuity while reducing manual intervention.

For high-performance motion control, the CK-1530-LSP-5AXIS uses an LNC servo system to drive its linear axes. Combined with high-quality components, including HIWIN linear guideways, YYC racks, TBI ball screws, and Shimpo planetary reducers, the machine achieves a positioning accuracy of 0.05 mm and a repeat positioning accuracy of 0.02 mm, with a maximum travel speed of up to 80,000 mm/min.

The CK-1530-LSP-5AXIS is equipped with a customized LNC M8260RD bus-based CNC control system, which enables high-speed data communication between the CNC controller and servo drives. This helps improve system stability and response speed, particularly during complex five-axis machining. A 19-inch display and keyboard-and-mouse operation provide an intuitive graphical interface, allowing operators to complete programming and machining tasks with ease while significantly reducing the learning curve for new users.
