The other can achieve true automatic tool change. It is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC), which consists of an external tool magazine and a spindle that can change tools. The external tool magazine is divided into two types: linear and carousel, with 4, 6, 8, 12, 16 tool magazines available. The automatic tool change spindle is also specially designed to automatically remove and clamp the tool. This type of machine is equipped with a tool length sensor to automatically adjust the Z-axis height and automatically calculate tool compensation, which improves work efficiency and reduces the difficulty of operation.
What is The Difference Between a Linear Tool Changer and a Carousel Tool Changer?
At present, the two most common tool magazines on the market are linear tool magazines and disc-type tool magazines. Let's talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of tool magazines respectively.

Carousel tool change magazine: This type of tool magazine is a carousel-style structure, which is driven by an independent servo motor to rotate for tool change. This type of tool change structure is stable and the tool change speed is faster. It is generally installed on the side of the machine gantry and moves with the gantry, without affecting the processing height of the machine. Its disadvantage is that the cost is relatively high, and because it is equipped with an independent servo motor drive, the machine needs to add a control axis, which makes the price of the CNC system rise accordingly, further increasing the price of the machine.
There is no difference between the two tool change methods in the user's daily use and operation, and the difficulty of learning and operation is basically the same. Their difference is mainly reflected in the mechanical structure design, and users can choose according to their own budget and processing needs.
What Other Function Packages Can be Selected to Enrich the ATC Router?

Automatic loading and unloading: Adding this function can greatly save the time and workload of manual loading. Two or three suction cup devices are added behind the router gantry to grab the plate from the hydraulic storage platform and drag the plate to the processing area through the movement of the gantry. Troubleshooting of CNC Machines
Observe the fault phenomenon: When the machine fails, you first need to observe and determine the specific phenomenon of the fault, such as the spindle does not rotate, the XYZ axis does not respond, the equipment makes abnormal sounds, etc.
Analyze and solve the fault: According to the fault phenomenon, combined with the working principle and structural characteristics of the CNC router, analyze the possible causes.
